Our Mission
Over the years, Athletic Assistance for Single Parents has grown in size and influence but still remains dedicated to keeping children active and healthy. Our mission is to ensure that every child, regardless of financial circumstance, has the opportunity to stay active and involved in sports. We believe that continued participation in athletics fosters not only physical health but also emotional resilience, teamwork, discipline, and a sense of belonging. By supporting single-parent households, we help children build confidence, form lasting friendships, and develop healthy habits that extend far beyond the field.

Physical Health
As AASP has grown, we have started to focus more on the health benefits of keeping children in sports. Not only do sports allow children a healthy outlet from school and other stresses, but it also offers numerous benefits for a child's health and wellbeing. It improves fitness, coordination, and reduces the risk of obesity. Mentally, it boosts self-esteem, reduces stress, and supports emotional resilience.
Personal Growth
Staying active in sports can also play a key role in a child's personal growth by teaching them important lessons such as responsibility, perseverance, and determination in a structured but informal way. Sports can also help build confidence, teach stress management techniques and demonstrate how teamwork and leadership skills can lead to success.
